The professional dog grooming courses are practical classed that cover the advanced techniques that students need to properly groom and care for animals.

In total, the course will cover 140 hours of both coursework and real world practice. This course will further explore how to safely brush their teeth, trim their nails, and properly bathe each of these animals.

This includes a look at parasites and pests that can become a real problem for any dog groomer.

Module 2: The Essentials of Canine First Aid

There may be times when an emergency may happen. This course teaches you the basics of first aid. As a dog groomer, you may need to take action should something happen, and this module is designed to give you the knowledge you need to properly care for all the animals that are under your watch.

Module 3: Dealing with Aggression, Reducing the Stress of the Animal, and Avoiding Dog Bites

It is important that you understand safety measures that are designed to protect you and alert you to potential aggression. As part of this course, the dog groomer will learn the warning signs and body language signals. You will also pinpoint stress when it appears in a dog to prevent escalation.

Module 4: A Closer Look at Different Grooming Techniques that are Designed for Different Coat Types

Not all coats are the same and that means each canine coat will need its own unique set of grooming standards. From the equipment used, to products, and other essentials this module will help you to gain a deeper understanding of what needs to be done so that you can groom any dog you encounter.

Module 5: Advanced Techniques that Deal with Bathing, Brushing Teeth, Advanced Dental Car, Nail Trimming, Face Care, Rear Care, Ear Care

There are plenty of advanced techniques necessary to care for the dogs that visit the groomers. In this module, you will explore these in depth, including the different techniques that should be used for the youngest puppies to the elderly dogs you encounter.

Module 6: How to Successfully Setup and Run A Fixed or Mobile Dog Grooming Business

Running your own business can be daunting to begin with. In this module, you will be presented with information on how to run a successful business as a dog groomer. When you are done, you will have all the information you need to run your own business, and to be your own boss.



Two Week Hands-On Practical Dog Grooming Courses:
