Canine Rescue

Our two-day canine rescue dog trainer course is designed to give students the intensive practical experience they need to be successful working with rescue dogs, whether as a volunteer with a rescue organisation or as an animal care professional working with rescue dogs. The course is divided into two parts – a theoretical module which provides an introduction to solving common behaviour problems in dogs and referring dogs and owners to appropriate canine behaviourists or dog trainers; and a practical module which consists of working with rescue dogs directly.

This two day rescue dog trainer course is accredited by QLS (Quality Licensing Scheme) and ABC Awards and counts for 16 hours of CPD credit for animal care and welfare professionals interested in broadening their areas of professional knowledge. These accreditations assure students that the course material of this two day course meets the exacting standards of the accrediting organisations and has undergone a stringent quality assurance process.

CBS pursues accreditation for courses because we don’t believe in offering “check the box” courses to our students. Our staff consists of highly skilled and experienced animal care, conservation and welfare experts who are committed to meeting the highest ethical standards and to furthering the state of the animal care industry. Our courses are challenging and informative and our students receive not only important insight and practical training, but also the support and encouragement of our staff.

What to Expect from the 2 Day Canine Rescue Dog Trainer Course:

Our tutors are highly educated in industry best practices and are experienced animal care and welfare professionals who are amply qualified to train the next generation of animal care workers. Our tutors provide students with the support they need throughout their courses and beyond, including additional one on one tutoring on specific topics and general encouragement and advice. We also provide all of our students with free career advice and guidance on further professional development on an ongoing basis.

Because of the high level of support we offer to our students, the course completion rate of CBC students is exceptionally high, with most students receiving very high marks on their understanding and mastery of course material. Once you complete your course, you’ll receive an accredited diploma or certificate which will improve your job prospects in the industry – but of equal importance is the high quality, in-depth education in animal care and welfare issues which we impart to our students which prepares you to make a positive impact in your profession and on the lives of animals and owners every day.

The two day canine rescue dog trainer course will be held at our Cambridgeshire campus in March. Please contact us for available course dates – please note that the course will be held once we receive a sufficient number of enrolled students. Students may not bring their own dogs to this two day rescue dog trainer course.
