This Canine First Aid Course includes learning how to take care of wounds, deal with emergencies that arise, and how to properly carry or restrain a dog that has been injured, thus providing them with the best possible chance of recovery.

This canine first aid course is broken down into two modules. In the first module, explores the principles of first aid. As part of this course, you will cover rules and tips for safe handling of dogs, so that you reduce the risk of injury to yourself and the dog. This includes how to use stretchers and splints, improvising household items and how to use a muzzle and restrain an dog for transportation.
Module 2 looks at recognising and assessing vital signs. Step by step guides cover how to spot common injuries and how to address road traffic accidents, cuts and abrasions, consumption of a poisonous substance and broken bones and stings. This in depth course will provide you with all the information to provide initial care for a dog under your care.
For this canine first aid course, it is important to remember that first aid is critical for everyone to know. Not just medical professionals who provide emergency care for our pets, but also dog owners. This course takes an in-depth look at how to preserve life and provide the best possible outcome for a number of injuries and medical emergency conditions. First Aid is the initial steps to prevent a condition from worsening and to prevent the situation from deteriorating further, while promoting recovery. It does not replace veterinary treatment.
