Animal Hydrotherapy Course
This Level 3 Diploma in Small Animal Hydrotherapy is recognised within the QCF (Qualifications and Credit Framework).
The course is designed for those wanting specialised qualifications in animal hydrotherapy and helps prepare for a variety of careers, such as Animal Hydrotherapist or in a Veterinary capacity utilising hydrotherapy as a treatment modality.
Students who successfully complete this course will be able to continue further education and training related to this area of expertise, if desired. This certificate provides necessary qualifications as a component of the membership requirements for professional associations within the field.
This course is both theory-based and practically-based, including an intensive 1-week practical placement, providing qualifications and knowledge that prepare the student for working as an Animal Hydrotherapist.
This course is ideal for learners who have prior experience working or volunteering with small animals in roles such as Veterinary Nurse or Animal Welfare Assistant, as well as those who want to build on their existing knowledge and skills.
Students will learn to appreciate the benefits of hydrotherapy for small animals with various medical conditions, and learn how to correctly administer hydrotherapy to them. During the course, it is mandatory that students act within their area of professional competence, and students should therefore not engage in any manipulation techniques or treatments unless qualified to do so.
